Just got back from taking Isaac to his one year doctor's appointment. He visited a new doctor because I finally switched pediatricians after living here 6 months. Our old one was about 45 minutes away. Isaac is developing perfectly! He is 22 lbs. 3 oz. and 30 1/2 inches. This puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. He had to get two shots, one in his forearm that he didn't even cry for!! The other one was in his leg and that bothered him more.
Isaac is drinking whole milk now and still nursing about 3 times a day and we are slowly trying to decrease that number. He eats just about anything now, spaghetti, peanut butter sandwiches (which my doctor told me today that he shouldn't have because he could develop an alergy?) and he loves yogurt. He is not a huge fan of meat but I think thats because he doesn't have teeth. I have still yet to hear him say "mama" but he is getting close. He mainly just babbles, "tsss", "aah", "daa" "duh", "nu" who knows what he is saying?
Oh, did I mention he is WALKING! Yep, he walks allover the place now! Nothing is sacred anymore.
It has been an emotional transition him turning one, but a happy one. I can't believe my little guy can do so much now. Thinking back over the year it really does feel like a year has gone by. I feel like I have grown and changed and am so happy to be a mother and to have a husband who is such a loving amazing father. I feel so blessed that the Lord gave us Isaac, it brings tears of joy to my eyes. I can't think of a better thing to do with my life.
