Our Chunky Monkey

Isaac went to the doctor on Monday for his 2 month appointment and shots. He weighs 12.6 lbs putting him in the 50-75%. I can definitely tell a difference carring him around and can feel it in my back by the end of the day. What am I going to do when he's 20 pounds? He also grew another 1.5 inches and is 23 in. now. This has opened up a whole new world of clothes and he is already in the 3-6 month sizes. He is getting so big. He was a real tough guy when it came to the shots. He had to get 4 and he only cried for maybe 30 seconds and as soon as I picked him up he was fine. I was so proud of him. He did so good. We gave him a little tylenol and he spent the rest of the day his normal self. Isaac and mommy went to the park afterword for a little sun and to be outside since the weather is finally getting nice. It has been so nice to get out and take him for walks in his stroller which he loves. The bumpier the ride the better. He also has recently taken to his swing. Up until about a week ago he would not stay in it more then 5 minutes before crying, but all the sudden he is really into it. It is almost a guarantee that if I put him in it he will fall asleep. Which can be good and bad sometimes. And of course here are some recents pics!
At the park :)
Enjoying his bouncy chair!

Sleeping in his swing (well he was starting to wake up here)

These two just made me laugh! Hanging out in his hoodie :)

8 Weeks Old

Isaac is 8 weeks old today! He is doing GREAT and is our growing and strong boy! This last weekend we went on our first road trip with daddy for work and Isaac did wonderful. He loves to sleep in the car (but heaven help you if that car is NOT moving) and slept the whole way to Annapolis. It was a weekend of many firsts. We took Isaac out to eat with us for the first time and he was just perfect. He seems to like to be around lots of people...I think he likes the noise. It really gave Andy and I allot of confidence that we take him just about anywhere now.
Yesterday, Isaac had to go to the doctor to get an ultrasound done on his hip. When he was born he had a hip click and they just wanted to double check that they were not loose and that his hips were normal. Everything turned out OK and thank God his hips are perfect. He was quite the schmooze at the doctors and was cheesing at the doc and ultrasound tech the whole time. The doctor said he has never seen a baby that young smile so much! They even offered to watch him for the rest of the day and let me go shop...haha. He loves to smile and even laughs in his sleep.
We are getting into somewhat of a schedule now and have started to give Isaac a bedtime. We try and put him down between 7:30-8pm every night and have a little bedtime routine we do, which consists of jammies, storytime, and feeding..and sometimes bath. He usually sleeps until 2-3am and again til 5-6am. Putting him down this early gives Andy and I some time together and will hopefully eventually get Isaac to sleep through the night. We have also started giving him one bottle a day which our pediatrician reccomended so that he will take one when we need him to. I pump each day and Andy usually gives it to him before he goes to bed. It has been working out really good for us so far.
We go next Friday for his 2 month appt. where he has to get allot of shots. At his one month appt. he was 9lb. 1 oz. and 21.5 inches so I will try and update when we go how much he has grown. Here are some pictures of the little guy :)
